Five-year task order will connect acquisition priorities, budget decisions, and financial execution at the OSD headquarters level
McLean, VA – June 1, 2026: MDW Associates, LLC (MDW) has been awarded a five-year, $7.4 million task order to provide business operations and budget management support to the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment (OUSD(A&S)). The period of performance began June 1, 2026, and continues through May 31, 2031, if all options are exercised.
MDW will support the OUSD(A&S) Directorate of Business Operations and the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Acquisition (ASD(A)). At the OSD headquarters level, acquisition priorities and budget decisions are inseparable: a change in requirements, funding, or schedule can reshape both current-year execution and the Future Years Defense Program. MDW will help leaders see those connections early and act on timely, reliable analysis.
The MDW team will integrate budget formulation, financial planning, current-year funds management, acquisition requirements analysis, long-range funding strategies, and management internal controls. Analysts will track commitments, obligations, and expenditures; evaluate the financial and acquisition effects of changing priorities; and translate financial and operational data into defensible recommendations for senior leaders.
“For OUSD(A&S), the budget is where acquisition priorities become executable,” said Tim Wilde, MDW’s President and CEO. “Our job is to give leaders a clear, timely view of the choices in front of them – what is funded, what has changed, and what each decision means for execution. That is the kind of work our team has built its reputation on.”
Work will be performed at various locations throughout Washington, DC and Northern VA.
